Our Theme
Water management in Ohio continues to adapt and innovate, with a growing emphasis on sustainability and resilience. It is crucial to reflect on our achievements while also looking ahead to the challenges that lie before us. This year, our focus shifts to the dynamic future of water resources, encapsulating the urgent need for innovative strategies to enhance the stewardship and management of water systems for all communities.
Call for Abstracts: Presentations
We invite abstract submissions for 20-minute oral presentations that resonate with our theme, "Flowing Forward: Ohio's Water in Motion." We are particularly interested in topics that explore:
- Innovative technologies and practices in water management, delivery, sanitation, reclamation, and reuse
- Success stories and case studies related to sustainable water management initiatives
- Policy frameworks and regulations that support effective water resource management
- Community engagement and public perception of water management practices
- The impacts of climate change and environmental challenges on water resources
- Future trends and research in the field of sustainable water management
Presenters are encouraged to practice their material to ensure it fits the time allotted (roughly 10 slides are suggested for a 20-minute talk). Additional time will be available for Q&A. No paper handouts unless necessary.
Presentation Abstracts are due by July 7, 2025, and can be submitted here
Accepted abstracts will be posted on the WMAO website as part of the conference program. WMAO Membership is not required, however, presenters are encouraged to consider joining WMAO to support the water resources management community in Ohio. Abstracts not selected for presentations may be offered the option of presenting a poster.

Poster Abstracts are due by October 18, 2025, and can be submitted here
