About WMAO

WMAO Recognition Awards

WMAO would like to encourage everyone to nominate one or more of their peers for the Water Management Association of Ohio recognition awards that will be presented at the annual conference this Fall. It's never too early to think about who might be a worthy nominee.

To make the awards a true success again this year, we will need your input. There are many deserving individuals out there and you probably know who they are. As a WMAO member, you must take the time to submit the nomination(s). It is not a lengthy process. It involves filling out a small amount of contact information and a paragraph or so describing why you feel the nominee is worthy. You may nominate as many people as you like. The form is located at the bottom of this page.

Nominees for the Ohio Water Hall of Fame award must be current or former WMAO members; otherwise nominees do not have to be WMAO members. Just check the qualifications list for specific guidelines on each type of award. Many people assume that "someone else" will take care of submitting nominations, but often that isn't the case. Nominations are usually due in mid-September, but feel free to start thinking about it and even writing down your nominations now. The Awards Chairperson's contact information for 2006 will be posted soon.

WMAO also works closely with other groups to coordinate water-resources activities in Ohio, including :
